Preheat oven to 400. Prepare pie crust
Apple Pie Filling:
.75 cup sugar
.25 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt
6 cups thinly sliced Granny Smith Apples
Instructions:
Mix sugar, flour, spices, and salt. Stir in apples. Pour into prepared crust.
Crumb Topping:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cold butter
1/2 packed brown sugar
Combine flour, butter, and brown sugar until crumbly. Add on top of apples.
Bake for 30 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake 20 minutes more.
